I am big fan of Glenn Rand’s book. He is incredibly knowledeable and knows his subject inside and out. Amherst Media is my favorite photography publisher and the two have created yeat another great book!
The content is a little different than other books which makes this a keeper!. My collection of Amherst books just keeps growing and growing.
I highly recommend this book. I have referred to it a few times since first getting it…..not something I can say about ALL my books in my library.
I hope that you enjoy it. :-)

I did enjoy this book, however it wasn’t quite what I had expected. I was looking for a studio lighting book and this has both studio and environment lighting. it isn’t as extensive in the studio lighting as I would have liked.

This is an intriguing and helpful book on lighting for photography. Utilizing terms that I did not generally associate with photography, the author explains light in simple terms. His careful description of numerous light sources is beneficial to a total understanding of lighting and how it works. A very well presented textbook.
