I have taken some photo classes at school, but that was film, and I’ve used my dads digital camera before, but it’s too big and annoying to carry around. so what’s a good digital camera for a beginner? links to websites would be helpful.
thanks.

No joke, on digital cameras this is the way to go. Plus they already have them in skill categories.
go to the kodakgallery.com and click on cameras. they have a lot to chose from and they are all easy to use. good luck
I use a Nikon Coolpix L15 http://www.dpreview.com/news/0708/07083002nikonl15.asp
and I’m very impressed with the photos that it takes as well as the quality of the videos it produces
If you want a digital SLR the Nikon D40x is great and slightly smaller than other SLRs. You can find it on Amazon etc.

i personally like kodak cameras.
yea i would say anything canon, and get a canon photo printer (selphy ds810).
well a canon, defiantly
i dont know if you want to be messing a round with f.stops
and shutter speeds
but i recommend one of he canon powershot range..
they vary in price so you get the one that suits your budget
you can set them to auto
or you can set them to manual
they also reasonably small
i have one and i love it – the quality on them is also magnificent!
take a look at this website it has pictures of all the digtial cameras
but you should be mostly looking at the powershot range
have fun
xxx.
That varies so much depending on what you want to do and how much you want to spend. Are you wanting an SLR or a Point -n- Shoot? Are you wanting to spend 150.00 or 1,500.00? You should go into a camera shop and tell them what your budget is and ask to look at cameras in the price range. compare the cameras and ask them (salesperson) to tell you about the different features on them.
If you are going to take up photography as a hobby, spend the money to get a decent SLR. If you get a point n shot, you’ll just end up wanting to upgrade in few months.
The SLR’s will start at around 500.00 and can easily go up over a 1,000.00 for the consumer or prosumer models.
I’ve noticed that a lot of people are recommending Canon’s. Canon does make a very high quality camera, but so does Nikon, Pentax and Olympus. For the point and shoot, Kodak is a good camera. Look at all of them, Canon is not the last camera on earth.
Get to the camera shop!!! Touch them, hold them, drool on them and ask lots of questions about them. You’ll get a much better idea of what you want
The Fujifilm Finepix F10.
1. It has 1/1.7″ sensor (bigger than the 1/2.5″ sensor on most compact digital cameras). This is why it has such good performance in low light.
2. It uses a lithium ion battery so you don’t have to worry about battery life.
3. It’s only $120 if you get a good deal.
