Jewelery Photography Silver rings with gemstones?

I want to take some pictures of silver rings , they are small and have gemstone on face not diamond .

I have canon Eos Rabel 300D and 35-80 mm lens

also i have a light box

what’s best light set up and what do you recomend me about jewellery photography ?

It’s all about the light.

I would get a nice black velvet cloth as a backdrop for the jewelry. It isn’t going to stand out as much against a white display as a darker display.

And a macro lens, when you can get one, would be a good investment.

i think that not too much light would be the answer otherwise all you will get is refeections of the light on the silver and no detail
