A special portfolio edition of the photographs of O. Winston Link will be exhibited in Owosso, Michigan in conjunction with the International Train Festival Tuesday through Sunday, July 21st through 26th. This is the world debut of the special edition personal portfolio pieces O. Winston Link printed for his son. The collection of 57 signed photos, which Link originally developed and printed by hand, has never been seen in public. O. Winston Link, has been revered by many as the most important railroad photographer of all time. In the group of three photographers: Jan Berdak, Jacek “Conrad ” Jędrzejczak and Serge Sachno, we prepared an exhibition of black and white photography. We share the common passion of black and white nude women photography, but each of us make it in a different, his own personal way. However, all of us present similar way of feeling the magic of classic photography. Our purpose is to show it in Poland and in many other countries all over the world. The exhibition consists of 50 work in the format 100 x 70 cm and 100 x 100 cm.

An annual competition, award and exhibition which was set up to find and reward the best new European music photographer.

This year’s winner of the coveted Lex van Rossen Award and cash price of €2,500 is accomplished young Belgian photographer Tom Verbruggen. The accolade, which was awarded earlier in the year at The Eurosonic/Noorderslag Festival in Groningen, recognised Verbruggen’s talent for capturing impressive live silhouettes and atmospheric backstage portraits. In fact, his work is said to have reminded the judges of the great Dutch music photographer Anton Corbjin. These images along with the work of six commended finalists will be exhibited at Roundhouse, Camden from 2nd August until 10th September 2009.
